An HTML application to get directions by Bus, Car, Bike, or by walking.

The application can also let you enter a desitnation for food, gas stations, pharmacies, and more!

 

Download the Stand-alone HTML file or you can copy-paste all code elemnts to add/embed into your own website

This code is provided "as-is." No warranties or support is provided. Tested for webpage/HTML only... not recommended for use in HTML email, social media, or SMS/Text applications.

You can customize this code; update suggested input text; the application will automatically localize area (IE: if you type Boston it will assume Massachusetts (MA). If you just type Concord, it's best if you add a State but it might suggest an address for you. SAMPLE: Concord MA, Concord NH, Concord NY.

Guide

• Download the zip package
• Unpack and you can open the HTML file to use the application
• The application will automatically set date and time to the current "now." Time and date can be manually edited.
• If you want to embed into your own webpage, the included css styles might conflict with your site; test embedding the app into your website without css to match your styles; fix any conflicts. Update suggested placeholder text "SAMPLE: Copley Square" and destination "SAMPLE: Coffee, Copley Square" suggested placeholder text.

Tips

Adding a start or desitination with a state helps the application find a local resource. If you do not add a state, the app may suggest an address/location for you. Last but not least... if the application has no clue... it might try to use any Google cookies or Location Services to find a local address. If you are plannng a bus, train, or trip out of state; definately include state names.

Local Searches can include food, coffee, gas station, pharmacy, hospital, or business names. SAMPLE: "coffee, Copley Square, MA"

Users can then sort results by transit method via car, bus, bike or walking.
